Songs From the Capeman cover art

Description

A gang murder in NYC in the 1950s divided the city a pitted those that wanted burning justice against those that saw pitiful social conditions that led up to the murder. Paul Simon used this event to write a musical that was eventually done on Broadway. The musical bombed but the CD is interesting. It has a blend of styles but most maintain a Puerto Rican sound with some 50s tenor saxaphone work also.
