Condemned: Inside the Sing Sing Death House

Wisely manuevering through a new law that made past documents available to the public, Christianson has collected photos and stories of those executed at Sing Sing prior to 1963 when NY made executions illegal. Trials and legal proceedings were different then and defendents often saw only months or weeks pass between their trials and their executions. In many of these photos, defendents are wearing their court clothes as they walk to the chair. This book is an eerie reminder of the toll the death penalty extracts from people.
