Whoa. Parker, Gillespie, Powell, Roach, and Mingus all play together for one night. Parker hocked his sax for some heroin and had to play a plastic sax (still sounds great) and no one came to the concert because of the Marciano fight that night. Luckily, they recorded this gem. If you dig bop, this one is not to be missed.
