The Time Machine

After seeing both movies multiple times, I finally read the novella. Perhaps not surprisingly given the author and Hollywood's general inclinations, it's far more bleak than they were. It's interesting and certainly worth the read; the end of time on Earth in particular was thought provoking, even if by modern science he was off (the Sun will become a red giant star and the planet will be no more), that's no fault of his as this was written in the 1890s.
