Description
Originally a mod for Half-Life, the retail version is obviously based on the Half-Life engine. Pretty good graphics, although the engine poorly handles moving vehicles and has a few other problems. Terrorists match up against Counter Terrorists in team-based action. Each map has a primary objective (e.g. rescue hostages or bomb a target). The pace varies according to the map and the number of players in the game. Fairly realistic weapon simulation. There are a good number of custom maps available.

- Very addictive game once you get used to the flow. It's also much better when you play with people that know how to play. Teamplay is critical, although one or two good players can run the board. Some of the weapons seem too powerful (e.g. the one-shot sniper rifle) while others seem too weak (the glock in particular, but the auto-rifles as well). All in all, an excellent game with a large user-base.
