- Obviously a little dated, but hard not to be since it came out in the late '80s. The characters are largely quirky and (sometimes) funny. It moved along for the most part, but parts of it (especially towards the end) were rather disjointed and hard to follow. This was not helped by the character sometimes daydreaming, so reality and not were sometimes hard to parse. It also made me not want to eat lobster, which was poor timing for me as I had it maybe a few days after finishing the book!
