Pillars of the Earth

Epic saga of a stone mason in medieval times and his family after him. The text is so historically accurate many teachers want to use it in classrooms. Alas the frequent sex present in almost all Follett novels prevents them from doing so. Still a great read and introduction to how great medieval structures were raised.
